___________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: The technology in wireless and mobile IP Network has undergone a great advancement in the recent years. The performance of TCP and UDP is not enough to the recent advancements in technologies. So, IETF has proposed SCTP which supports multihoming and multi-streaming techniques which increases the performance of the transmission of multimedia content. SCTP supports both reliable and unreliable transmission. SCTP has the ability to work with more than one IP addresses thus a session can remain active in network failures. This SCTP has the ability to support multiple network connections in a single end to end association that is the reason why SCTP can support any heterogeneous network seamlessly, transparently and continuously communication sessions

Users of the next generation wireless paradigm known as multihomed mobile networks expect satisfactory quality of service (QoS) when accessing streamed multimedia content. The recent H.264 Scalable Video Coding (SVC) extension to the Advanced Video Coding standard (AVC), offers the facility to adapt real-time video streams in response to the dynamic conditions of multiple network paths encounte...
متن کاملLPKP: location-based probabilistic key pre-distribution scheme for large-scale wireless sensor networks using graph coloring
Communication security of wireless sensor networks is achieved using cryptographic keys assigned to the nodes. Due to resource constraints in such networks, random key pre-distribution schemes are of high interest. Although in most of these schemes no location information is considered, there are scenarios that location information can be obtained by nodes after their deployment. In this paper,...
متن کاملHybrid Key pre-distribution scheme for wireless sensor network based on combinatorial design
Key distribution is an important problem in wireless sensor networks where sensor nodesare randomly scattered in adversarial environments.Due to the random deployment of sensors, a list of keys must be pre-distributed to each sensor node before deployment. To establish a secure communication, two nodes must share common key from their key-rings. Otherwise, they can find a key- path in which ens...

متن کاملA Fuzzy Based Approach for Rate Control in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks
Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs) undergo congestion when a link (or a node) becomes overpopulated in terms of incoming packets. In WMSNs this happens especially in upstream nodes where all incoming packets meet and directed to the sink node. Congestion in networks, if not handled properly, might lead to congestion collapse which deteriorates the quality of service (QoS). Therefore, i...
